UX|UI Product Design Application Form 2023

The Next IT Girl, Design: Intro to UX|UI Product Design is a one day workshop for young women of color, ages 14-18. Presented with a hands-on and digital experience. The Next IT Girl offers a variety of programs for aspiring technologists of all experiences and abilities in communities nationwide.

Additionally, our workshops and programs focus on discovering, pursuing, and succeeding in technology through the exposure of technical concepts. Students do not need to have any prior technical experience, and any materials will be provided.

Registration for The Next IT Girl’s 2023 Intro to UX|UI and Product Design is now available.
Intro To UX|UI Product Design: Available for students ages 12-18.

About the Workshop:
Product Design is a holistic concept that has ownership over both UX (user experience) and UI (user interface) design. UX design focuses on the total user experience with a digital product. UI design focuses on the visual experience of a digital product, such as fonts, colors, and animations. Let's create your first design portfolio!
Students will gain hands-on UI|UX design experience using modern tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, and Figma. — to design digital products such as websites, mobile applications, and computer programs.
Design meshes technology and creativity together. This curriculum will show students not only the many different possible career opportunities in Design, but how they can express themselves creatively while incorporating technology as well.

Although this program serves young women African American, Black, and of color The Next IT Girl does not discriminate based on race or ethnicity.
