MISSION
The Next IT Girl is a technology education nonprofit changing the face of technology. We're bridging the gap by connecting students and businesses to create an ecosystem of innovation and drive the change we need to see in tech.
OVERVIEW
Learn the steps and process of creating a product from ideation to production. With a focus on a more inclusive mobile user experience, students will learn current technologies and production tools used for the mobile user interface design and prototyping that will expand accessibility for a diverse end-user audience. Students will also learn to apply design principles and ethical considerations to the decision-making process. Analyze research data to identify key patterns and trends, and effectively communicate findings, ensuring research outcomes are easily understandable. Make practical product recommendations, based on research insights, that drive user-centered design decisions to design the best user experience while creating mock pages that easily function across multiple device platforms. During this one-day course, Learn first-hand more about what it takes to become a designer, which software and techniques are used, and how to develop innovative, useful, safe, and ecologically sound products! From discovering key design concepts, to considering real-world product design challenges. Students will also get the opportunity to apply design principles to create designs for their portfolio.
The main objective of this workshop is to introduce the systematic structure of a design process, focusing on the basic conceptual foundations, including techniques and best practices.
This workshop is suitable for those who are just beginning to think about Design careers, and for those with some experience. We'll be exploring with design software Figma, Adobe, and Sketch.
